Sonminhyuk · Johnson · Maddison · Bergvall · Solankane · Gray · Porro · Udogie · Vandeven · Dragusin · Vicario

Tottenham play with a high press and a vertical intent using a 4-3-3. The lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and move quickly towards the opponent goal. This formation focuses on stretching the defence through wide runners and quick transitions to exploit space behind the opposition line.

Vicario starts between the posts to act as a sweeper behind a high line. The defensive unit operates with a flat back four, where Dragusin and Vandeven function as central defenders who must be comfortable playing out from the back. Dragusin uses his aerial strength to defend crosses, while Vandeven covers the space left when the team pushes up. Porro and Udogie act as attacking full backs, often pushing high to provide width and overlap the winger. They must be ready to track back quickly if the ball is lost to prevent counter attacks.

The midfield consists of a three-man midfield with a carrier and creative outlets. Gray and Bergvall occupy the central roles, tasked with pressing aggressively to win the ball high and connecting the defensive and attacking lines. Gray works to press in a mid-block and intercept passes, while Bergvall carries the ball forward to drive into the half spaces. Maddison operates as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find the feet of the striker or play through the lines with his passing range. This midfield unit works to squeeze the space and ensure the team can recycle possession in the middle third.

Tottenham use three attackers across the front to pin the last defender. Solankane acts as a pressing centre-forward who holds up the ball and battles with central defenders. On the flanks, Son Heung-min plays as an inverted winger who cuts inside to shoot, utilizing his clinical finishing and pace. Johnson stays wider on the right to stretch the defence and get to the byline for cutbacks. The front three work together to trigger a press from the front, forcing the opposition to play long balls that the back four can intercept.

One major advantage for Tottenham is the ability to create wide overloads from overlapping full backs like Porro and Udogie. This creates one on one situations for the wingers. Another strength is the speed of transition when the midfield wins the ball, allowing Son Heung-min and Johnson to hit in behind on the transition before the opponent can recover.

This 4-3-3 formation relies on intense running and high energy to dominate games. It is best suited for matches against teams that play a high line or struggle to deal with rapid vertical movements.
