On the wings, Mané and Salah act as inverted wingers who cut inside to find shooting positions. These attackers press the opposition back line to trigger a press, looking to play through the lines or whip it in toward the center.

One major advantage for Ghana is the ability to create wide overloads and isolate wide players in one on one situations. The presence of four attackers makes it hard for defenders to mark everyone, often leading to numerical superiority in the final third.
