CS Constantine Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Dib (10) · Baouche (8) · Benchaira (6) · Tahar (31) · Temine (11) · Mouaki (20) · Meddahi (12) · Rebiai (25) · N'Diaye (5) · Bouhalfaya (16) · Merbah (18)CS Constantine aims to play a very direct and aggressive brand of football. The team utilizes a 4-2-4 formation to stretch the pitch and put immediate pressure on the opponent. This lineup is built to hunt the ball high up the pitch and transition into attack as quickly as possible. By using a heavy front line, CS Constantine looks to overwhelm the opposition defense through sheer numbers in the final third.
Bouhalfaya sits between the posts to command the area and organize the back line. The defensive unit operates as a flat back four with Meddahi at right back and Baouche at left back. Both Meddahi and Baouche need to track back quickly to cover the wide areas when the team loses possession. In the center, N'Diaye and Rebiai act as the main pillars of the defense. They focus on winning the second ball and clearing the lines to prevent direct threats.
The midfield relies on a double pivot consisting of Merbah and Benchaira. These two players hold the center of the pitch and must work hard to shield the defense. Merbah acts as a carrier to move the ball from the defensive third into the middle third. Benchaira focuses on recycling possession and intercepting passes to break up the opponent. Because there are only two in the middle, Merbah and Benchaira must be disciplined to avoid being bypassed. They connect the back four to the four players positioned further forward.
In the attacking phase, the team uses four players to pin the last defender and create chaos. Tahar plays on the right wing while Mouaki occupies the left flank to provide width. Both Tahar and Mouaki look to cut inside to create space for the runs of the full backs. In the center, Dib and Temine operate as a partnership of two strikers. Dib works to hold up the ball while Temine looks to make runs in behind the defense. This combination allows the team to attack in transitions.
One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. With four attackers, the team can trigger a press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. This high intensity can win the ball back high up the pitch and create immediate scoring chances. Another strength is the numerical superiority in the attacking third, which makes it difficult for a standard back four to mark everyone. The team can also isolate wide players in one on one situations when Tahar or Mouaki receive the ball.
The 4-2-4 lineup provides CS Constantine with a potent attacking presence and high pressing intensity. This formation is best suited for games where the team wants to dominate the opponent through directness and speed.
