Iturra work to control the tempo and connect the defense to the attack. M. Díaz helps to shield the defense while M. Iturra can carry the ball forward into the half spaces. L. Figueroa and H. Droguett play as wide midfielders who provide width. They are tasked to track back when defending and push up to support the attack.

Univ. de Chile uses two forwards in a partnership to lead the line. H. Alcázar and M. Salas work together to press the opposition back line. H. Alcázar plays as the left striker while M.
