Starting Lineup

River plays a vertical style of football using a 5-2-3 formation. The team seeks to use quick transitions to catch opponents out of position. This lineup relies on a solid foundation to launch attacks rapidly through the wide channels.

Carrizo stays in goal to direct the defensive unit. The back line functions as a back five with Venini acting as the central defender to win the second ball. Soria and Pérez occupy the left and right of the central trio to cover space and mark any runs. Ferrari and Yácono play as attacking wing backs to provide width. Ferrari pushes up on the left while Yácono covers the right flank. The whole unit works to squeeze the space and remain compact when defending.
