The midfield operates as a three man midfield with a carrier and a creative hub. Bissouma acts as the shield for the defense, working to intercept passes and win the second ball in the middle. Kulusevski operates in the half spaces, using his dribbling style to carry the ball forward and link the lines. Maddison plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to play through the lines and find the feet of the attackers. This trio works to press in a mid-block when the ball is lost.

Tottenham utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defence. Solanke acts as a pressing centre forward who holds up the ball and fights for aerial duels. Son plays as an inverted winger on the left, cutting inside to attack the far post and use his clinical finishing. Odobert stays wider on the right to provide a different angle for crosses. The front three work together to trigger a press from the front, forcing the opponent to play long balls.
