Rangers look to control games through a heavy high press and direct attacking play using a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and move it forward quickly to catch the opposition off guard. The team aims to use the width of the pitch to stretch the defence and create gaps for central runners.

In goal, Butland acts as the last line of defence, often sweeping behind a high line to clear long balls. The back four consists of Jefte at left back and Tavernier at right back, both acting as attacking full backs who push high to provide width. In the middle of the defence, Propper and Kasanwirjo form a central pairing where Propper handles the left side while Kasanwirjo covers the right. They must hold the line and step up to catch opponents offside or drop deep to cover the space behind when the full backs push forward.

The midfield functions with a three-man unit designed to dominate the central areas. Barron and Diomande operate in the engine room, with Diomande often acting as a carrier to drive the ball forward. Bajrami plays as an attacking ten in the hole, looking to find pockets of space between the opposition lines. These players work to connect the defence to the attack, with the midfielders tasked to press in a mid-block and win the second ball to sustain pressure.

Rangers attack with a front three that looks to punish the opposition in transition. Dessers acts as the lone striker, working to hold up the ball and pin the last defender to create room for others. Igamane stays wide on the left to stretch the play, while Cerny plays as an inverted winger on the right to cut inside and shoot. This front line is designed to create runs in behind and allow Tavernier to overlap the winger to deliver crosses into the box.

One major advantage for Rangers is the ability to create wide overloads when the full backs join the attack. The team also benefits from the speed of transition, moving from a defensive block to an attacking stance in seconds. This allows the players to isolate wide players in one on one situations, making them very difficult to defend.

This 4-3-3 formation focuses on aggressive pressing and rapid vertical movement. It is best suited for games where the team needs to dominate possession and break down a low block through wide play.
