Starting Lineup

Lanús prefers a direct and vertical style of play, utilizing a 4-4-2 formation to control the pitch. This lineup is built to win the second ball and hit the opposition on the transition. In the final third, Lanús uses two forwards to stretch the defence. Salvio and Bou lead the line, often playing as a partnership to cause problems for the opposition back line. Salvio can cut inside from a wide position to create chances, while Bou acts as a pressing centre-forward to harass defenders. The team looks to play through the lines with quick passes, aiming to find the feet of the striker or knock it in behind the last defender.
