Nadje plays on the right of the trio to shield the defence and pick up runners when the team transitions. This unit works to compress the midfield and deny the pivot of the opposition.

Up front, Feyenoord utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defence. Gimenez acts as the central striker, using his movement to find pockets of space and hold up the ball for others.
