The midfield functions as a three man midfield with a carrier to move the ball forward. Erwin sits in the center to shield the defense and collect the ball from the defenders. To his left, tiyon steele works to link the defensive and attacking lines, while jacob operates on the right to drive forward with the ball. This group works to win the second ball and ensure the team can recycle possession quickly. They move as a unit to deny the turn to opposing midfielders and keep the central area crowded.

In the attacking phase, Santos uses three attackers across the front to stretch the defence. Fernando acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and provide a focal point for the attack. On the wings, yestin and prince operate as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goal scoring chances. This movement creates space for gio and justin to overlap the winger and deliver crosses into the box. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball and prevent the opposition from playing out from the back.

One major advantage for Santos is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. This creates immediate pressure on the opponent's goalkeeper and defenders.
