The midfield relies on a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. Okay sits deeper to shield the defense and win the second ball, while Ozan works as a carrier to drive forward with the ball. This duo connects the defensive unit to the attacking line by recycling possession and searching for passes that break the line. They must remain disciplined to avoid being bypassed by the opposition during periods of heavy pressure.

In the attacking phase, Trabzonspor employs four forwards to pin the opposition back. Bardhi works as a pressing centre-forward to disrupt the opposition build up, while Poyraz looks to find the feet of the striker or make runs in behind.
