Defensa y Justicia focuses on a defensively solid identity using a 5-4-1 formation. This lineup is built to play a low block and absorb pressure from the opposition. The team aims to frustrate opponents by staying compact and waiting for the right moment to hit in behind on the transition.

The defensive unit is anchored by 9 in goal. A back five protects the area, with Tawhid and Nahid acting as the wide centre backs while Mustafizur sits in the middle to win the header and clear the lines. Arman works as the left wing back to provide width and track back when needed, while 10 plays as the right wing back to help the defensive unit. The whole back five works to defend zonally and keep the lines tight.

The midfield is built around a four man block to control the center. Fazle rabby plays as the single pivot to shield the defence and deny the pivot from the opposition. Rakib and Shakil operate as central midfielders to carry the ball forward and connect the lines. Rashel works on the left of the midfield four to press in a mid-block and recycle possession. This group works together to squeeze the space and prevent the opponent from playing through the lines.

In the attacking phase, Rabiul acts as a lone striker. He must hold up the ball and lay it off when the team moves forward. The attack relies on the wing backs, Arman and 10, to spread wide and provide service. When the team wins the ball back high up the pitch, they look to break quickly. The midfielders like Rakib and Shakil look to arrive late into the box to support the movement.

This formation provides great compactness when defending, making it very difficult for the opposition to find gaps. Utilizing the width of Arman and 10, the team stretches the defence during transitions. Another advantage is the ability to win the second ball in the middle of the pitch to start a quick break. Keeping the lines close ensures the defensive unit is very hard to bypass when they sit deep.

The 5-4-1 formation makes Defensa y Justicia very difficult to break down. This lineup is best used when facing teams that want to control possession and require a disciplined low block to counter.
