The midfield operates as a four man unit to control the central areas. Jorginho acts as the deep lying playmaker to recycle possession and find teammates. Rice works alongside him to press aggressively and win the second ball. On the flanks, Martinelli plays on the left to stretch the defence, while Partey (Shudders) occupies the right side to help the transition. This group works to connect the defensive line to the forwards by playing through the lines.

The attacking line uses two forwards to pin the opposition back. Havertz plays as the lone striker in this setup, often dropping deep to link up play between the lines. Saka plays as a right sided attacker who looks to cut inside and create chances. They use combination play to move the ball into the final third, with Saka looking to isolate defenders one on one.
