Starting Lineup

PSG plays a very direct and attacking style of football using a 4-2-4 formation. This lineup focuses on heavy pressure in the final third and quick transitions to catch the opposition out of position. The goal is to pin the opponent back and use high numbers in the attacking zones to create constant scoring chances.

KKANGIIII plays between the posts to organize the defense. The back line consists of a flat back four with DDaDac at right back and HanWooRa at left back. The central defenders, AI and AI, are tasked to hold the line and win the second ball. DDaDac and HanWooRa are expected to push up to support the attack, which requires the central pair to cover the wide areas when the full backs are caught high. The defensive unit must remain compact to prevent being split by long balls.

The midfield works with a double pivot to provide some stability. AI and KARA sit in the center to bridge the gap between the defense and the attack. AI works to shield the defense and intercept passes, while KARA looks to carry the ball forward and connect with the front four. This duo must work hard to cover the space left by the attacking full backs and manage the transition when PSG lose possession. They act as the engine that allows the team to recycle possession in the middle third.

Up front, the team uses a heavy front four to stretch the defense. Autonomoust and wpdl3042 act as a striking partnership in the center, with one often looking to hold up the ball while the other makes runs in behind. On the flanks, SkaGoGo and ehdqks124 operate as wide wingers to provide maximum width. SkaGoGo and ehdqks124 look to get to the byline and deliver crosses into the box. This formation creates many combinations in the box and forces the opposition defenders to deal with constant movement from all directions.

This formation offers great numerical superiority in the attacking third. By having four players close to the opposition goal, PSG can create wide overloads and overload the central areas. Another strength is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the front four to trigger a press immediately upon losing the ball. This forces the opponent to play long balls, which the central defenders can then win to start a new attack.
