Starting Lineup

PSG plays with a very direct intent using a 4-4-2. The Paris Saint-Germain identity is based on quick transitions and moving the ball through the thirds to catch the opposition off guard. Autonomoust works to shield the defense and drop into space to receive the ball from the center backs, while KARA tries to carry the ball forward to break the lines and progress play. ehdqks124 and SkaGoGo operate as wide midfielders to provide width and press in a mid-block. This group works to compress the midfield and prevent opponents from playing short from the back or finding easy passing lanes.

Up front, the team uses a partnership of Jay and wpdl3042. Jay acts as a pressing centre-forward to pressure the opposition back line and win the ball high up the pitch, while wpdl3042 works to find space between the lines to link up play. The wide players ehdqks124 and SkaGoGo hug the touchline to stretch the defence and create room in the middle for the strikers. When the team wins the ball, they look to hit in behind on the transition and use the wingers to whip it in or cut it back for the strikers to finish.

A key advantage of this formation is the ability to win the second ball in the middle of the pitch through the work of Autonomoust and KARA. The wide overloads from DDaDac and HanWooRa can also create crossing opportunities and pull defenders out of position. Finally, the presence of Jay and wpdl3042 allows the team to press from the front and force a long ball from the opposition, which helps the defensive unit regain control of the game.
