Starting Lineup

KKANGIIII · KARA · SkaGoGo · DDaDac · HanWooRa · Autonomoust · AI · AI · wpdl3042 · Jay · AI

PSG relies on a heavy press and quick vertical play using a 4-4-2. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and hit the opposition before they can organize. The lineup aims to stretch the defence and use the width of the pitch to create gaps in the middle.

KKANGIIII starts in goal to command the area and organize the back line. The defensive unit operates with a flat back four, where DDaDac acts as the right back to provide width and AI covers the left back position. In the heart of the defence, AI works as a central defender to intercept passes and win the second ball. These players work together to maintain a high line, squeezing the space between the lines and forcing long balls from the opponent.

The midfield functions as a four man block to control the center of the pitch. Autonomoust and KARA operate as a central pairing, where one player looks to shield the defence while the other looks to carry the ball forward. On the flanks, HanWooRa and SkaGoGo provide the width, often looking to overlap or cut inside to create numbers in the half spaces. This midfield group connects the defence to the attack by recycling possession and finding quick passes to the front two.

In the attacking third, PSG uses two forwards in a partnership to pin the opposition defenders. Jay and wpdl3042 lead the line, acting as a pressing centre-forward duo to trigger a press from the front. They work in combinations to find space between the lines, often looking for runs in behind the defence. The wingers, HanWooRa and SkaGoGo, stretch the pitch to allow Jay and wpdl3042 to operate in central areas or receive the ball in one on one situations.

A major tactical advantage for PSG is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to play out from the back. The formation also allows for wide overloads when the full backs push up to support the wingers. By keeping the team compact when defending, the side can quickly transition into attack to exploit space left by advancing opponents.

This 4-4-2 formation focuses on high intensity and quick transitions to overwhelm the opposition. It is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play under pressure or leave space behind their defensive line.
