Starting Lineup

AI · DDaDac · Won · LEE_soonmoong · JANGGO0110 · HanWooRa · panch25 · AI · AI · Jay · AI

PSG focuses on controlling the tempo through a 3-5-2 formation. This lineup is built to play with a high press and control the center of the pitch. The team looks to dominate the ball and use their central numbers to suffocate the opposition in their own half.

AI operates between the posts to anchor the defense. Behind the midfield, a back three consisting of AI, AI, and AI forms a compact defensive unit. The central defender acts as the main stopper while the wide center backs cover the space left when the wing backs push high. This back line is tasked to play out from the back and maintain a high line to squeeze the space.

The midfield is a crowded engine room using a three-man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten. LEE_soonmoong and JANGGO0110 occupy the central areas to shield the defense and recycle possession. panch25 plays as an attacking ten behind the strikers to find pockets of space. On the flanks, DDaDac and HanWooRa provide the width as wing backs, tasked to track back when out of possession and drive forward to support the attack.

In the final third, PSG utilizes two forwards in a partnership. Won and Jay lead the line as a duo to pressure the opposition back line. Jay often looks to find space in behind while Won works to hold up the ball and lay it off to the arriving midfielders. The wing backs, DDaDac and HanWooRa, look to overlap the winger to create crossing opportunities. This creates a heavy central presence that forces the opposition to defend in tight spaces.

One major advantage for PSG is the numerical superiority in midfield, which allows them to win the second ball and control the tempo. The team also creates wide overloads from the wing backs, which stretches the opposition defence. This setup allows the side to transition quickly from a mid-block to an attacking wave.

This formation provides a balance of defensive compactness and offensive power through the middle. It is best suited for matches where the team needs to dominate possession against a side that sits deep.
