Starting Lineup

PSG aims to play a high press and direct attacking game using a 4-2-4 formation. This lineup is built to push the opposition deep and win the ball high up the pitch to create quick scoring chances. By committing many players forward, the team looks to dominate the final third and overwhelm defensive lines through sheer numbers.

AI guards the goal as the goalkeeper. In front, a back four defends in a zonal line to manage space. DDaDac operates as the right back and HanWooRa takes the left back role, both tasked with tracking back to cover the wide areas when the ball is lost. AI and AI form the central defensive pair, with one acting as a ball playing defender to start attacks and the other providing cover to sweep behind the line.

The midfield consists of a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. LEE_soonmoong and JANGGO0110 occupy the two central roles, tasked with shielding the defense and breaking the line with vertical passes. One player works to recycle possession while the other looks to carry the ball forward and connect the defensive unit to the heavy front line. This pairing must remain disciplined to prevent being bypassed by opposition counters.

PSG utilizes four attackers to stretch the defense. Won and panch25 act as wide wingers who stay high to pull the opposition full backs wide. In the center, Autonomoust and Mutual operate as two forwards in a partnership. This front line is designed to press the opposition back line aggressively, creating space for runs in behind or allowing the wingers to cut inside and find the feet of the strikers.

One major tactical advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to play out from the back. The heavy presence in the final third also allows for wide overloads and quick transitions when the ball is won back high up the pitch. This creates constant pressure and forces the opposition into making mistakes near their own goal.
