They provide a screen that allows the team to stay compact while looking to recycle possession. Ahead of them, Max and Dadá Belmonte operate in the half spaces to connect the defensive unit to the lone striker. These two must press aggressively to win the ball high and support the transition.

A lone striker, Catatau, leads the line to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. The attack relies on the movement of Max and Dadá Belmonte to support the front line, creating combinations in tight spaces. When the team wins the ball, the wing backs Nandinho and Paulinho push up to provide width, looking to deliver crosses or cut it back for runners.
