Partizan seeks to overwhelm opponents with a high intensity vertical style of play using a 4-2-4. This formation is built to hit the opposition hard in transition and pin the defenders back with a heavy attacking presence. The goal is to use the front four to stretch the pitch and create constant chaos in the final third.

In goal, Popović acts as the last line of defense. The back line operates as a flat back four that must remain compact to prevent being caught out. Urošević (C) plays at left back and provides width, while Filipović holds the right side to ensure the team does not get stretched too thin. In the middle, Marković and Vujačić work as a central pairing, with Marković often covering space while Vujačić deals with direct aerial threats. The whole unit must stay disciplined to avoid leaving too much grass behind when the team pushes forward.

The midfield functions as a double pivot to provide a bridge between the defense and the attack. Natcho operates as a deep lying playmaker with a renowned passing range to switch play, while Patrick acts as the more mobile engine to win the second ball. Together, they shield the defense and look to recycle possession quickly. They are tasked with finding the attackers as soon as they turn, moving the ball through the lines to bypass the opponent's middle section.

Attacking the opposition requires a massive presence from the front four. Ricardo and Šaponjić work as a central partnership, often using their strength to hold up the ball and allow others to join. On the flanks, Diabate and Jović U21 act as wide wingers who look to cut inside and threaten the goal. This lineup creates a lot of movement, with the wingers pulling wide to create space for the strikers to make runs in behind. The players press from the front to force long balls and win possession high up the pitch.

Partizan gains a massive advantage through their ability to create wide overloads and numerical superiority in the attacking zone. By pushing four players high, they force the opposition to defend deep and narrow. This creates space for the wingers to isolate defenders in one on one situations. The speed of transition when Natcho or Patrick wins the ball allows the team to strike before the defense can settle.

This 4-2-4 formation is a high risk and high reward system centered on aggressive attacking intent. It is best suited for matches where Partizan needs to break down a low block or catch an opponent on the break.
