Sloboda Tuzla focuses on defensive stability and absorbing pressure through a 5-4-1 formation. This lineup is built to sit deep and strike on the break, using a compact block to limit space for the opposition. The team looks to remain hard to beat by clogging the central areas and making the pitch feel small for any attacking side.

SAID operates between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back five consists of a central trio where ČAJIĆ and BOJO act as the primary central defenders to win the header and clear the lines, while HRVANOVIĆ provides cover. On the flanks, TALLISON and DŽAFIĆ act as attacking wing backs, tasked with providing width and tracking back to help the defenders. This back five unit maintains a narrow defensive block to prevent through balls.

The midfield functions as a flat four designed to shield the back five. OSMANKOVIĆ and ISIĆ play as the central pair, tasked with winning the second ball and protecting the zone in front of the defense. MEKIĆ and MULALIĆ U21 occupy the wide areas to track opposition wingers and help transition the ball. The midfield works to compress the midfield when the opponent tries to play through the lines, ensuring there are no gaps between the lines.

MUMINOVIĆ leads the line as a lone striker, tasked with holding up the ball to allow the midfield to move up the pitch. He must press the opposition back line to force a long ball and disrupt their build up. The attack relies on the wingers, MEKIĆ and MULALIĆ U21, to support him by running into space. Sloboda Tuzla aims to hit in behind on the transition, looking for quick passes to find the feet of the striker.

A major strength for Sloboda Tuzla is the compactness when defending, as the five defenders and four midfielders stay close together to deny the turn. The formation also provides width from TALLISON and DŽAFIĆ when the team wins the ball, allowing for quick switches of play. By maintaining this narrow block, they make it very difficult for opponents to find space in the box.

This 5-4-1 formation provides a very solid defensive foundation for the team. It is best suited for games against dominant sides where the goal is to defend a lead or frustrate a high pressing opponent.
