The midfield is a heavy five man block that connects the defense to the attack. Blanco operates as a deep lying playmaker in the defensive midfield role to shield the two defenders. Advincula plays as a carrier in the midfield to drive forward with the ball. In the central area, Vera works to win the second ball and link the play. The creative duties fall to Zenón and Nandez, who occupy the half spaces to create chances and press aggressively to win it back high up the pitch.

Up front, the attack uses three players to stretch the opposition. Gimenez acts as a pressing centre forward to pin the last defender and lead the line. Palacios plays as an inverted winger on the left to cut inside and create central overloads. Aguirre occupies the right side to provide width and deliver crosses.
