The midfield operates as a five-man block to dominate the center of the pitch. IBARRA and ORTIZ function as a double pivot to shield the defence and win the second ball. In front of them, MALCORRA, SOLARI, and CAMPAZ act as the engine to connect the defensive and attacking lines. IBARRA and ORTIZ focus on tackling and intercepting passes, while SOLARI and CAMPAZ look to carry the ball forward into the attacking third. MALCORRA helps to recycle possession and provides a link between the pivot and the striker.

In the attacking phase, the team uses RUBEN as a lone striker to lead the line. RUBEN is tasked to hold up the ball and lay it off to bring teammates into play. The width is provided by the movement of the wide midfielders or when SANDEZ and CORONEL overlap to deliver crosses into the box. The attacking movement focuses on hitting in behind on the transition, with the goal of catching the opposition out of position. RUBEN must also press from the front to force a long ball and prevent easy build up from the opponent.
