Bergkamp plays as a lone striker who is tasked to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. He often drops into the hole to link up play and create room for others to arrive late into the box. The attack can also spread wide when Robben or Overmars pull wide to stretch the defense. This movement allows Bergkamp to play one twos or move into channels to hit in behind on the transition.
