Šamorín focuses on being a vertical team that looks to hit opponents on the transition, utilizing a 3-5-2 formation. This lineup is built to play with a high press and quick vertical passes to catch the opposition before they can get organized. By utilizing a compact central block, the team aims to win the ball and move it forward immediately to the attackers.

Burian stays between the posts to organize the defense and sweep behind the line when needed. The back three consists of Boledovič acting as the central defender, while Janitor and Cserepkai operate as the left and right wide centre-backs. Boledovič holds the line and wins the header during defensive set pieces, whereas Janitor and Cserepkai step up to intercept passes or cover the space left by the wing backs. This unit functions as a narrow defensive block to protect the middle of the pitch.

The midfield relies on a three-man midfield with a carrier to move the team forward. Boháč sits in the center to shield the defense and recycle possession, while Podkonický and Makky operate as the central engines. Podkonický works to press aggressively to win the ball high, and Makky connects the defensive and attacking lines by carrying the ball forward. On the flanks, Baka and Vodera act as attacking wing backs who provide the width for the team, often pushing high to overlap the midfielders and stretch the defense.

The attacking front line uses two forwards in a partnership to cause problems for the opposition. Šulák and Havlík work in combinations to create chances, with Šulák often playing as a pressing centre-forward to force long balls from the opposition. Havlík stays closer to the box to find the feet of the striker and make runs in behind the defense. When the team wins the ball, the wingers Baka and Vodera push up to deliver crosses, allowing the two forwards to attack the near post and far post.

Šamorín gains a significant advantage through numerical superiority in the central midfield areas, making it difficult for opponents to play through the middle. The ability to press in coordinated waves from the front three and the midfield trio allows the team to win the ball back high up the pitch. This setup also allows the wing backs to create wide overloads when they push forward to support the attackers.

This 3-5-2 formation provides a heavy central presence that is perfect for dominating the middle of the park. It is best suited for games against teams that try to play through the center, as Šamorín can squeeze the space and counter at pace.
