RIAZ stays between the posts to manage the defensive duties. The back line consists of a narrow pair of central defenders, RIFAT and RATIN, who must hold a very high line to squeeze the space and catch opponents offside. RIFAT and RATIN are tasked with being ball playing defenders to start the play immediately. They must also be fast enough to cover the space behind them and win the second ball if the initial press is bypassed.

The midfield unit works to dominate the center and connect the two defenders to the front four. SHAHED acts as the single pivot to shield the defense and deny the turn of incoming attackers. In front of him, DAWOD and JAVED work to carry the ball forward and link the lines, while JAVED then operates as the attacking ten in the hole to play through the lines and find the feet of the striker. This group must press in pairs to win it back high up the pitch.

The attacking front line is massive, featuring four players to stretch the pitch. IRFAN plays on the right wing and ROBIN stays on the left, with both players looking to spread wide and pull defenders out of position. In possession, the team uses combination play to split the defence with a through ball. When out of possession, JAFOR IQBAL and ARIF work as a striking partnership to press the opposition back line hard and look for runs in behind.

This Chelsea formation offers significant tactical advantages, most notably the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By committing so many players forward, the team creates wide overloads and can quickly overwhelm the opposition box. The speed of transition is a major strength, as the team can go direct and hit in behind on the transition before the opponent can settle.
