Independiente aims to control the game through high pressing and rapid transitions using a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to squeeze the pitch and win the ball high up the pitch to catch opponents out of position. By utilizing a heavy presence in the attacking third, the team looks to dominate the tempo and pin the opposition back.

R. Rey sits between the posts to organize the back line. The defensive unit works as a back three, where K. Lomónaco acts as the right centre-back to cover the wide areas. G. Silva plays as the left centre-back, providing strength and ball playing ability to start attacks. J. Laso occupies the central role to hold the line and defend zonally. The defenders must be ready to step up to catch attackers offside or drop into a low block when the team is under pressure.

The midfield operates as a central pairing supported by wide players. I. Marcone acts as the deep lying playmaker who shields the defence and recycles possession. Beside him, F. Mancuello works to connect the defensive and attacking lines by carrying the ball forward. F. Loyola and F. Cervi act as the wide midfielders, providing width and helping to press in a mid block. They must track back to support the defenders and prevent being overloaded on the flanks.

In the final third, the team uses three attackers to stretch the defence. E. Barco plays on the left wing and looks to cut inside to create chances. On the right, M. Benítez provides width and attempts to isolate defenders in one on one situations. G. Ávalos serves as the lone striker and works to hold up the ball and find the feet of the midfielders. The attackers press from the front to force long balls and win the second ball in the attacking half.

This formation offers Independiente significant tactical advantages, particularly in creating wide overloads. When F. Loyola and F. Cervi push high, they create numerical superiority alongside the wingers. The team can also switch play quickly to exploit gaps left by an advancing opposition. This ability to press in coordinated waves allows the club to regain possession in dangerous areas.

The 3-4-3 lineup relies on aggressive pressing and quick transitions to dominate territory. It is best suited for matches against teams that play with a high line and leave space behind their defenders.
