Starting Lineup
Vlahović (9) · Yıldız (10) · McKennie (16) · Koopmeiners (8) · Gonzalez (11) · Locatelli (5) · Cambaiso (27) · Bremer (3) · Danilo (6) · Kalulu (15) · Di Gregorio (29)Juventus focuses on a high press and quick transitions using a 4-3-3. This formation aims to win the ball high up the pitch and strike quickly before the opposition can settle. The team looks to use the width of the pitch to stretch the defence while maintaining a compact core to prevent being caught on the break.
Di Gregorio guards the goal and acts as the first line of build up. The defensive unit functions as a flat back four with Kalulu operating as a right back who can push forward to support the attack. Danilo sits as a right centre back, providing leadership and aerial strength, while Bremer plays as the left centre back to cover space and win headers. Cambaiso completes the back line at left back, keeping the shape narrow when the ball is on the opposite side to ensure the unit holds a compact line.
The midfield works in a three man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten. Locatelli acts as the deep lying playmaker who shields the defence and recycles possession. McKennie works alongside him to drive forward with the ball and press aggressively to win the ball back. Koopmeiners plays as the attacking ten behind the striker, looking to arrive late into the box and connect the midfield to the front line with his passing range.
Up front, Juventus utilizes three attackers across the front to pin the last defender. Vlahović operates as the central striker, using his strength to hold up the ball and lead the press from the front. On the flanks, Yıldız acts as an inverted winger on the left to cut inside and create chances, while Gonzalez plays as a wide winger on the right to spread the play. The attacking movement relies on runs in behind and combinations in tight spaces to split the defence with through balls.
One major advantage for Juventus is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the intensity of McKennie and Koopmeiners to force long balls. The lineup also offers the ability to create wide overloads when Kalulu and Cambaiso push up to support the wingers. This creates numerical superiority in the attacking third and allows the team to pin the opposition back into a low block.
This 4-3-3 lineup is built to dominate through physical presence and high intensity. It is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
