Šamorín Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Burian · Baka · Vodera · Makky · Vadovič · Boledovič ("C") · Kamon · Janitor · Charvát · Záhorák · HavlíkŠamorín focuses on an aggressive attacking identity and plays a 2-5-3 formation. This lineup is built to press high and win the ball back quickly in the opposition half to maintain constant pressure. The intention is to play a vertical game that forces the opponent to defend deep under heavy pressure.
Burian sits in goal to provide the last line of defense. The defensive unit relies on a very high line with only two central defenders, Makky and Vodera. Since there are no traditional full backs, Makky and Vodera must be prepared to step up to intercept through balls and cover wide areas when the ball is switched. They must defend man to man and remain disciplined to avoid being caught by long balls played into the space behind them.
The midfield acts as the engine room for the Šamorín squad. Boledovič, Baka, and Vadovič form a central trio designed to control the game. While Boledovič works to shield the defense and recycle possession, Baka and Vadovič drive forward with the ball to break the lines. Janitor and Charvát occupy the half spaces as attacking midfielders to connect the central players with the front three. These two players press aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch and create quick transitions.
The attacking phase utilizes three forwards to stretch the opposition. Záhorák and Kamon operate as wide wingers who hug the touchline to pull defenders apart. Havlík acts as a lone striker to hold up the ball and find the feet of his midfielders. This formation allows Záhorák and Kamon to cut inside into the pockets of space while Havlík makes runs in behind the defense. The forwards press the opposition back line in pairs to force mistakes and turnovers.
One major tactical strength is the ability to create numerical superiority in the central areas. Having five players in the middle allows the team to compress the midfield and win the second ball easily. The team also benefits from the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the positioning of Janitor and Charvát to trigger a press that suffocates the opponent in their own half.
This 2-5-3 formation is a high intensity system designed for total offensive control. It is best suited for matches where the team needs to break down a compact low block or exploit an opponent that struggles to play out from the back.
