This massive presence allows the team to recycle possession and squeeze the space in the middle.

Up front, Argentina utilizes two strikers to lead the offensive charge. J. Álvarez and Lautaro work as a partnership to stretch the defence. J. Álvarez uses his movement to find pockets of space, while Lautaro works to hold up the ball and lay it off to the oncoming midfielders. They are tasked to press from the front and force the opposition to play long. The connection between the attackers and the attacking midfielders creates many chances to hit in behind on the transition.
