Maripan and Diaz form the central pairing, with Maripan using his aerial strength to defend crosses and Diaz acting as the covering defender to sweep behind a high line. This defensive unit works together to squeeze the space and maintain a high line to keep the team compact.

The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a carrier to move the ball from deep. Echeverria sits in the center to connect the defensive and attacking lines, acting as a pivot to recycle possession. Alarcon and Loyola occupy the central midfield roles, with Alarcon looking to drive forward with the ball and Loyola pressing aggressively to win the ball high in the middle third. This trio works to ensure the team can transition quickly from a mid-block into an attacking phase.

In the attacking phase, Chile uses three attackers across the front to pin the opposition back line. Osorio plays as a pressing centre-forward to lead the line and harass defenders. Palacios and Brereton operate as wide attackers, with Palacios cutting inside to create chances and Brereton looking to exploit the space out wide. The movement is designed to create runs in behind and allow the wide players to receive the ball in one on one situations near the touchline.
