Chiquinho, Dani Rodríguez, and Robert Navarro occupy the remaining spaces to press in a mid-block or drop deep to protect the middle. These players must work together to win the second ball and progress through the thirds to find the feet of the striker.

A lone striker, Cyle Larin, leads the line as the primary attacking threat. He acts as a target man to hold up the ball and allow the midfielders to join the attack. The attack relies on the midfielders making late runs into the box to support him.
