Starting Lineup

Eze · Janitor · Vodera · Podkonický · Baka · Makky · Havlík · Boledovič ("C") · Cserepkai · Šulák · Charvát

Šamorín looks to dominate the ball through a highly aggressive 2-6-2 formation. This lineup is built to control the middle of the pitch and use a heavy central presence to suffocate the opposition. By packing the center, the team seeks to recycle possession and drive the game forward through high numbers in the middle third.

Eze stands between the posts to guard the goal. In front of him, Janitor and Baka form a narrow back two that must remain extremely disciplined. Because there are only two central defenders, they often have to cover vast amounts of space when the team loses the ball. They must stay compact and communicate well to manage runs in behind, as they act as the last line of defense before the goalkeeper.

The midfield is a massive block of six players designed to crowd the center. Cserepkai acts as the single pivot to shield the defense and break up play. Beside him, Makky and Charvát work to connect the defensive line to the rest of the team. Vodera and Boledovič provide the width, with Boledovič operating on the left and Podkonický on the right to stretch the opposition. This heavy concentration of players allows the team to win the second ball and keep the ball moving through tight spaces.

In the final third, the team relies on a two-man striking partnership. Šulák and Havlík play as the two forwards, working together to pin the opposition back line. They often combine to create chances, either by playing quick passes or by waiting for the midfielders to arrive late into the box. The attack is built on the ability of the six midfielders to move the ball quickly to the strikers or to use the wide players to whip it in from the flanks.

This formation offers significant numerical superiority in midfield, making it very difficult for opponents to find space in the center. The high density of players allows for a coordinated press to win the ball back high up the pitch. Additionally, the wide presence of Boledovič and Podkonický creates potential to isolate defenders in one on one situations when the central area becomes too crowded.

Šamorín uses this heavy midfield lineup to impose their will on the game through sheer volume of players. This formation is best suited for games where the team wants to dominate possession against an opponent that sits deep in a low block.
