Starting Lineup

The midfield operates as a three man midfield with a carrier to drive the play forward. Taferner sits in the middle to connect the defensive and attacking lines, while Babic and Butler operate in the half spaces. Butler and Babic need to press aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch. Taferner is responsible to recycle possession and shield the defence when the team loses control. This unit works together to squeeze the space in the middle of the pitch and deny the opponent time on the ball.

In the attacking phase, WSG Tirol utilizes three attackers across the front. Forst operates as a pressing centre-forward to lead the line and harass the opposition defenders. On the flanks, Voter and Anselm act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goal scoring chances. This movement creates space for Geris and Ranacher to overlap the winger and deliver crosses into the box. The team looks to attack in combinations, using quick passes to split the defence with a through ball for Forst to run into.
