Como seeks to control matches through a high press and quick verticality in a 3-5-2. This lineup aims to win the ball high up the pitch and use a strong central presence to dictate the tempo of the game. Livaković guards the goal as the last line of defense. The back three consists of Samet, Jayden, and Becão, who operate as a narrow defensive block. Samet and Becão focus on winning the second ball and providing aerial strength, while Jayden acts as a covering defender to sweep behind the line. This unit works to squeeze the space between the defense and midfield, making it difficult for opponents to find room in the central areas.

The midfield is a crowded engine room built to dominate the center of the pitch. Amrabat acts as a single pivot to shield the defense, while Fred works alongside him to win it back high up the pitch and drive the ball forward. Osayi and Kostić operate in the half spaces to connect the defensive and attacking lines, providing width and energy.
