ROMERO sits between the posts to command his area. The back line operates as a narrow defensive block with three central defenders. DALZOTTO leads the middle of the three, acting as a presence to win the header and clear the lines. BALTIERI and PELIQUERO sit on either side to cover the space and defend zonally. NUÑEZ acts as an attacking wing back on the right to provide width, while CHAPARRO plays as a left wing back to help defend the flank. This unit works to hold the line and ensure the opposition cannot find gaps in the middle.

The midfield works as a flat four to protect the zone in front of the defense. BENITTI and LACUADRA form the central pairing to protect the middle and win the second ball. LACUADRA looks to carry the ball forward to link the lines, while BENITTI stays more central to shield the defense. LENCINA operates on the left to track back and help the wing back, while CHAPARPO works the right side to provide an outlet.
