Šamorín relies on a heavy pressing game and quick transitions when playing with a 3-5-2 formation. This lineup is built to squeeze the space in the middle of the pitch and hit the opposition on the break. The team looks to win the ball high up the pitch to catch opponents before they can settle into their defensive positions.

Burian stands between the posts to command his area. The defensive unit operates as a back three with Janitor acting as the central man to hold the line and manage the depth of the defense. Charvát and Cserepkai sit on either side to cover the wide channels and win the second ball when the team plays out from the back. They work together to protect the central zone and ensure the team stays compact when sitting deep.

The midfield is a crowded engine room designed to dominate the center of the pitch. Boledovič acts as the main carrier to move the ball forward, while Podkonický and Baka operate as two central midfielders to control the rhythm and connect the defense to the attack. They work to intercept passes and press aggressively to win the ball back. Vodera and Vadovič act as wide midfielders who provide much needed width, often pushing up to support the attack or tracking back to help the back three.

Up front, Šamorín uses two forwards in a partnership to stretch the defense. Záhorák and Havlík work in tandem to pin the last defender and create space through clever movements. They often look to combine in tight spaces or play one-two passes to break the line. The attackers are tasked to press from the front, forcing the opposition to play long balls which the back three can then clear.

This formation offers Šamorín significant numerical superiority in the central areas of the pitch. By having three central midfielders and three central defenders, they can easily clog the middle and force the opponent wide. The wide midfielders, Vodera and Vadovič, allow for quick switches of play to isolate attackers in one on one situations on the flanks.
