A heavy focus on defensive stability and quick transitions defines Talleres as they operate in a 5-3-2 formation. This lineup is built to play a vertical game where the main goal is to absorb pressure and strike on the break. The team stays compact to deny space for the opponent and looks to exploit the gaps left behind a high defensive line.

DIAZ acts as the goalkeeper to command the penalty area. The defensive unit works in a back five to maintain a narrow defensive block. ALVAREZ sits in the middle to organize the line and win the header. CHAPARRO and DIAZ occupy the wide centre back roles to cover the space and pick up runners. BARRAGAN and BORGO operate as attacking wing backs to provide width and track back to defend the flanks.

The midfield works as a three man unit to bridge the gap between the defenders and the strikers. ALEGRE and BENITTI play in a double pivot to shield the defense and win the second ball. They work to recycle possession and protect the space in front of the central defenders. RODRIGUEZ plays as an attacking ten, tasked to connect the lines and arrive late into the box to support the forward duo. This midfield helps to compress the midfield and squeeze the space between the units.

In the attacking third, Talleres uses two forwards in a partnership to pin the last defender. GONZALEZ and LOPEZ operate as a strike duo that can either hold up the ball or knock it in behind.
