Starting Lineup

RACHID · KINZO · WILLINHO · MAKAVELI · MEDHI · KIKI EL MAGO (cap) · BRANDY · GK · YAHYA · LANDRY · BOT

Arsenal aims to squeeze the pitch and win the ball back high up the pitch using a 4-5-1. This lineup focuses on a high press and maintaining a compact block to deny the opponent time on the ball. The goal is to use the five midfielders to dominate the center and force long balls from the opposition.

MEDHI stays between the posts to manage the back line. A flat back four consists of WILLINHO on the right and RACHID on the left. In the middle, LANDRY and the captain KIKI EL MAGO form the central pairing. KIKI EL MAGO can step up to intercept passes while LANDRY covers the space behind him. WILLINHO and RACHID are tasked to push up and support the attack when the team has the ball, but they must track back quickly to prevent being caught on the transition.

The midfield unit is the engine for Arsenal. YAHYA acts as the single pivot to shield the defense and sit in front of the center-backs. KINZO and MAKAVELI operate as the two central players who drive the ball forward and connect the defense to the attack. KINZO can make late runs into the box to add an extra threat. BOT and BRANDY play on the flanks to help press in a mid-block and ensure the team stays narrow when defending.

In the final third, GK operates as a lone striker. This role requires him to be a pressing centre-forward who can hold up the ball and find the feet of teammates. BOT and BRANDY must stretch the defense by staying wide and getting to the byline to deliver crosses. The team looks to attack in combinations through the middle or use the wide players to isolate defenders one on one.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By having five midfielders, the team can compress the midfield and win the second ball frequently. This creates a strong defensive block that is very hard to break through. This formation also allows for quick transitions when the ball is won in the middle third.

This 4-5-1 formation is built on defensive solidity and a heavy press. It is best suited for games against teams that want to play out from the back and struggle under pressure.
