FEDORCO sits in the middle of this trio to sweep behind the line and win headers. This defensive unit works to hold a narrow block, forcing opponents to the flanks and ensuring the space between the defenders remains small.

The midfield functions as a five man unit that connects the defense to the attack. LOYOLA and MANCUELLO operate as a central pairing to shield the back three and recycle possession. MILLAN plays as an attacking ten in the hole to find pockets of space between the lines. On the flanks, SALLE and LOPEZ/ORTIZ act as wide midfielders who provide the necessary width, often pushing up to help the attack or tracking back to support the defenders.

In the final third, the team utilizes two forwards in a partnership to pressure the opposition. MAESTRO PUCH leads the line as a lone striker who looks to run in behind, while VALLEJOS/GIMENEZ ROJAS plays as a second striker to link play. The attack is designed to create runs in behind or allow the wide players to deliver crosses into the box. When the team wins the ball, they look to find the feet of the strikers quickly to initiate a break.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to create numerical superiority in the central areas of the pitch. By using MILLAN behind the two forwards, the team can overwhelm a standard mid-block. Another strength lies in the compactness when defending, as the three central defenders and the central midfield pairing make it very difficult for opponents to play through the middle.
