Leno sits between the posts to act as the last line of defense. The back line consists of a narrow pair of central defenders with Bassey and Andersen. This two man defensive unit must hold a high line to keep the team compact, but they face significant risk if the opposition breaks quickly.

In front of the defense, the midfield operates with a central pairing and two advanced players to bridge the lines. Berge acts as a single pivot to shield the defense and recycle possession when needed. Robinson plays in a central role to drive forward with the ball and connect the defense to the attack. K.Tete works alongside Berge to win the ball and carry the ball forward into the attacking half. Pereira plays as an attacking ten, operating in the pockets of space to find the feet of the forwards or slip through balls to the wide players.

The attacking unit uses four players to stretch the defence and pin the last defender. Smith Rowe and R.Jimenez operate as a central partnership, with R.Jimenez acting as a target man to hold up the ball. Smith Rowe plays closer to the midfield to link up play between the lines and make runs into the box. On the flanks, Nelson and Iwobi act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to create width. They look to isolate a one on one situation against full backs or deliver early crosses into the center for the two strikers.

This Fulham formation offers significant advantages in transition and numerical superiority in the attacking third. By pushing four players high, the team can quickly overwhelm a retreating back four. The ability to press from the front with four attackers allows them to win the ball high up the pitch and catch opponents in a disorganized state.
