Huracán plays a direct and aggressive brand of football using a 4-2-4. This lineup is built to press high and attack with speed to catch opponents off guard. The intention is to overwhelm the opposition with numbers in the final third through rapid transitions.

Baley guards the goal as the lone goalkeeper. The defensive unit works as a flat back four to maintain a solid line. Carrascosa plays as the left back to provide cover, while Chabay occupies the right back position. In the center, Alberti and Buglione act as the central defenders. Alberti is a ball playing defender who looks to play short from the back, whereas Buglione focuses on being dominant in the air and covering the space behind his partner.

The midfield is a double pivot consisting of Rossi and Brindisi. Brindisi acts as the shield for the defense, sitting deep to protect the center. Rossi is the carrier who drives forward with the ball to link the defense to the attack. They must press aggressively to win the ball high and prevent the opposition from playing through the lines. Their job is to recycle possession and quickly switch play to the wide areas.

The front line consists of four attackers who stretch the defense. Babington plays as a wide winger on the left, while Houseman operates on the right. Both players often cut inside to create goal scoring chances. In the center, Méndez and Masantonio lead the line as a forward partnership. Masantonio acts as a target man to hold up the ball and lay it off, while Méndez makes runs in behind to exploit the space. They press the opposition back line to force a long ball and win the second ball.

A major advantage for Huracán is the ability to create wide overloads when the wingers and full backs combine. The formation also allows for high pressing in coordinated waves to squeeze the space in the opponent's half. This makes it difficult for the opposition to build play and creates many chances to win it back high up the pitch to strike quickly.

This 4-2-4 formation is ideal for teams looking to dominate through attacking volume. It is best used against opponents that struggle to play out from the back or are vulnerable to rapid transitions.
