Baley guards the goal as the last line of defence. The back five works as a unit to defend zonally and stay compact. Rossi holds the centre as a dominant presence to win the header and clear the lines. Buglione and Alberti operate as the wide centre backs, ready to cover the space when the wing backs push high. Chabay and Carrascosa act as attacking wing backs, often pushing up to the byline to whip it in or provide width.

In the middle of the pitch, Brindisi and Babington form a double pivot to control the central area. Brindisi stays deeper to shield the defence and win the second ball in front of the back five. Babington has the freedom to carry the ball forward and progress through the thirds to link the defence with the attack. They work to squeeze the space in the middle, cutting off the passing lane to the opposition players.

The attacking unit features three players across the front. Houseman and Méndez act as wide wingers who pull wide to stretch the defence and then cut inside to find space. Masantonio leads the line as a pressing centre forward, tasked to press the opposition back line and win it back high up the pitch. This group looks to hit in behind on the transition, using the runs of Houseman and Méndez to exploit space. They often combine in tight spaces to play a one two and find the feet of Masantonio or finish a cutback.

One major strength of this Huracán lineup is the ability to create wide overloads. Because Chabay and Carrascosa push so high, they often overlap the winger to create two on one situations. Another advantage is the compactness when defending, as the team can quickly drop into a low block if needed. The speed of transition is also a key factor, allowing the team to move from a defensive block to an attacking wave in seconds.
