Huracán focuses on a direct and aggressive identity built around a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup is designed to absorb pressure and strike with speed in transition. The team looks to exploit wide areas and use a high press to force errors in the opposition half.

Baley sits between the posts to organize the back line. The defensive unit operates as a back five consisting of three central defenders and two wing backs. Rossi acts as the central figure in the defensive block, while Alberti and Buglione occupy the sides to cover wide channels. Chabay operates as a right wing back to provide width, whereas Carrascosa plays as the left wing back to push high up the pitch. These defenders must remain disciplined to defend zonally and maintain a compact line when the opposition has the ball.

The midfield utilizes a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. Brindisi and Babington work as a pair to shield the defense and recycle possession. Brindisi acts to break the line with vertical passes, while Babington helps to win the second ball in the middle third. This duo connects the defensive block to the attacking front line, ensuring the team can transition from a low block into a forward movement quickly.

Huracán employs three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. Masantonio acts as the lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. On the flanks, Houseman and Méndez play as wide wingers who hug the touchline to create space in the channels. These players are expected to press from the front to trigger a press and then sprint to hit in behind on the transition. The movements are designed to create one on one situations for the forwards.

This formation offers several tactical advantages. The back five provides immense compactness when defending, making it difficult for opponents to play through the middle. By using Chabay and Carrascosa as wing backs, the team creates wide overloads that can pull the opposition defense apart. Additionally, the high intensity of the front three allows the team to win it back high up the pitch to catch the opponent out of position.
