This lineup looks to create quick attacking movements through the wide areas while maintaining a solid foundation to catch teams out on the break. By utilizing three central defenders and two wide midfielders, the team aims to control the flanks and push forward with pace.
Raton starts between the posts to organize the back line. The defensive unit functions as a back three with Siovas acting as the central figure to command the area. Leo operates as the left centre-back to provide cover, while Gkotzamanidis plays as the right centre-back to help manage the defensive line. This narrow defensive block requires the defenders to stay compact and track runners coming from deep to avoid leaving gaps in the middle of the pitch.
In the center of the pitch, Lamia utilizes a two man midfield with Doiranlis and Nunez. Doiranlis works to shield the defence and win the second ball, while Nunez drives forward with the ball to connect the defensive and attacking lines. These two midfielders must work hard to cover the ground between the back three and the front three. They are tasked with intercepting passes and ensuring they do not get bypassed too easily by the opposition midfield.
The attacking unit operates with three forwards that spread the pitch. Vlachomitros leads the line as the striker to hold up the ball and target the central defenders. On the wings, Lake and Furtado act as wide attackers to stretch the defence. Radonja and Saramantas occupy the wide midfield roles to provide support. This setup allows the team to use the wings to deliver crosses and creates opportunities for runs in behind the opposition back line.
One major strength of this formation is the ability to hit in behind on the transition. Because Lake and Furtado can push wide, they can isolate wide defenders in one on one situations. Another advantage is the compactness when defending in a mid block. The team can quickly shift from an attacking posture to a defensive one, making it difficult for opponents to find space between the lines.
The 3-4-3 formation provides Lamia with a direct way to attack through the flanks. It is a setup best suited for games where the team needs to play against a dominant side by sitting deep and breaking quickly.
