Bari focuses on a high press and quick verticality when using a 3-5-2. This formation aims to control the center of the pitch and win the ball back high up the pitch to catch opponents before they can settle. The lineup is built to use a dense midfield to squeeze the space and transition into direct attacks.

Radunovic operates between the posts to manage the defensive line. The back three consists of Vicari, Obaretin, and Pucino. Vicari acts as a central anchor, while Pucino and Obaretin provide width and cover the wide areas. Pucino and Obaretin are tasked to step up and win the second ball, whereas Vicari stays deep to sweep behind the line. This unit works to maintain a compact shape when defending.

The midfield is a heavy engine designed to dominate the center. Maita and Benali act as a double pivot to shield the defense and provide stability. Dorval and Favasuli occupy the half spaces to drive forward and carry the ball forward into the final third. Sibilli plays as an attacking ten behind the strikers, tasked to find the feet of the striker and make late runs into the box. This midfield unit connects the defense to the attack by playing through the lines.

Bari uses two forwards in a partnership to stretch the defense. Novakovich and Favilli operate as a strike duo, with Novakovich looking to pin the last defender while Favilli works to link up play between the lines.
