In the middle of the pitch, the team relies on a double pivot of Gioielli and De Chiara. De Chiara acts as the primary shield for the defense, looking to intercept passes and win the second ball. Gioielli is the carrier who drives forward with the ball to connect the defensive unit with the front four. The attack is built around four players who aim to stretch the defence. Ballabile and Malasomma act as wide wingers, with Ballabile looking to get to the byline and Malasomma looking to cut inside and create chances. Up front, Borriello and Raggioli work as a striker partnership. Borriello can hold up the ball to bring others into play, while Raggioli looks to make runs in behind the last defender. They press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.
