They work to compress the midfield and deny the opponent any space between the lines. CACERES and BORGE operate on the left and right sides to provide width and help the wing backs. FEMENIAS leads the attack as a lone striker. Her role is to hold up the ball and find the feet of her teammates during a transition. The team builds attacks through the wide areas as ARES and SANS push up to overlap the midfielders. This movement is meant to stretch the defence and provide options for crosses. CACERES and BORGE look to join the attack and arrive late into the box to create numerical superiority. The focus is to hit in behind on the transition and use the width to isolate defenders.
