One major advantage for Hungary is the ability to create wide overloads when Rudas and Fogl push high. The team can also maintain compactness when defending in a mid-block. Another strength is the speed of transition when the ball is won by Puskas or Kubala, allowing Kocsis to exploit gaps and hit in behind on the transition with pace.
