Santana connects the defensive and attacking lines by carrying the ball forward. Giuliano plays as the advanced playmaker in the hole, looking to play through the lines and provide the final ball. This unit works to compress the midfield and ensure the team can transition from a mid block to an attack quickly.

Vitória uses three attackers across the front to pin the last defender. Willian José acts as a pressing centre forward who can hold up the ball and link play with the midfielders. On the flanks, Willian Gomes and Bruno Tabata operate as inverted wingers who cut inside to create central overloads.
